Gwangju International Internship Program (GIIP) 2020

 The Gwangju International Center (GIC) is providing international internship opportunities to the Korean youth of our city with financial support from Gwangju City Hall. The GIC is looking for organizations that can host the GIIP interns in the areas of culture, business, and human rights among others.

1. Overview

- Number of interns: One or two per organization. 

- Period: 12 consecutive weeks at any time from Apr to Jun / from Sep to Nov

- Task: Office work and/or other duties relevant to the host organizations.

 ※ Monthly stipend will be provided to the interns directly by the GIC.

- Host: Gwangju City Hall 

- Organizer: Gwangju International Center

2. Information on the Prospective Interns

- College graduates or college students

- Communication possible in English or other language (Intermediate level)

※ The interns will be selected by the GIC via examination and sent to the host organizations following completion of orientation and training on office work and language use.

3. Host organizations need to provide the following:

- Orientation and training of the interns. 

- Examination of the intern’s monthly internship reports to the GIC.

- Issuance of an internship completion certificate at the end of the internship period.

- Assisting interns in finding housing.
