The Gwangju Performance Project is proud to present our 5th Cabaret Night: Ballroom Blitz, April 20, 2019 @ Partytown 57 in downtown Gwangju!
The GPP Cabaret is a night of music, fun, and debauchery! This year's theme, Ballroom Blitz, will highlight some of your favorite glam rock songs, along with a selection of show tunes. We encourage you to dress the part: tease up your hair, sprinkle some glitter, and don your most flamboyant outfits!
At the show, we'll have a selection of wine, beer, and a unique cocktail created by Gwangju bartending legend, Stel Deianne.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a cash-only event. We are unable to accept cards at the venue.
Doors open at 7pm. Show starts at 8pm.
Tickets are 25k and are on sale now. Pre-order your tickets at gpptickets@gmail.com. All pre-order ticket-holders receive a free rail drink at the official after party at Speakeasy, immediately following the show!
Proceeds benefit the GPP and Ndwara Library.
"Ndwara is a small village in south-western Kenya. The people are primarily subsistence farmers. Starting in 2010, two librarians decided to build a public library and community centre to provide the people with the information necessary to build better lives for themselves. This evolved into also building a secondary school. The school is complete, and some of the first graduates are now pursuing post-secondary studies. The library is nearing completion... the building exterior is done and we are finishing the inside. The next project will be furnishing the library, which we are hoping to do this year. Every small contribution makes a big difference." - Margaret Law
