Illustrative artist Lisa May Casaus will show her paintings and mixed media work in an exhibition at the Gwangju International Center from May 3 – June 30th.
Lisa is a volunteer instructor for the Gwangju Art Class, which meets on the first and third Saturdays of the month. In addition to personal work from her nearly three years residence in Gwangju, “Memories” will include works from past Gwangju Art Class exhibitions and classes as well as cover art for the Gwangju News.
Her eclectic and whimsical style will be supplemented by the sketches, research and original collages produced in the creation of the May 2018 cover of the Gwangju News, which is an homage to the Gwangju Uprising of May 18, 1980.
