The Gwangju News

The Gwangju News is an English monthly magazine that provides international residents and visitors with a variety of reading materials such as Korean culture, society, travel destinations, and celebrity interviews. It was started by the GIC as an eight-page black-and-white magazine in July 2001. In 2003, Julian Warmington took over as editor, increasing the number of pages and number of copies, and adding color printing. In 2011, its pages increased to 56, and it is currently 60 pages with 3,000 copies printed monthly. The Gwangju News is distributed to GIC members, across Korea, and to international locations.The online version of the Gwangju News can be found on the GIC website at www.gwangjunewsgic.com
